Last weekend, we attended the 6th Annual Newport Mansions Food & Wine Festival at the Marble House. It was our first time at the event so we weren?t quite sure what to expect. But let me just say?this is officially a must attend event! With over 100 wineries and restaurants exhibiting, attendees are offered endless options of both food and drink. Even if you are not a wine connoisseur, you can still sample plenty of beer, spirits, and bite size delights.
Celebrity Chef Lydia Bastianich even made a guest appearance as well. I dined at her restaurant, Becco, in New York a few years back so I was very excited to see her at this event. After sampling many wines throughout, the ?Bastianich Sauvignon Blanc? turned out to be my favorite.
For spirits, the Zyr Vodka was by far the best I?ve EVER tried! This Russian Vodka was given 100 points by Wine Enthusiast Magazine and I couldn?t agree more!
My favorite dish of the day was the Lobster and Prime Rib pita from David Burke Prime. This one pretty much speaks for itself. It was the ultimate pairing of land & sea. Two of my favorite things in the world combined into one delicious bite!
